Dr. Bruce Thomas retired in July 2021. We wish him CONGRATULATIONS on a successful career and BEST WISHES in this new chapter of life. Dr. Bruce will be missed!
Hi, I am Dr. Bruce Thomas and I am really excited to be serving Beaver Dam, Watertown, and all surrounding communities for their oral surgery needs. I attended Winona State University for undergraduate and Marquette University School of Dentistry for my dental training. After dental school, I completed a General Practice Residency, as well as my residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, at the Naval Hospital San Diego. I am certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and am current in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support.
After a 23 year Naval career, serving on the west coast, east coast, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and on the USS Tripoli and the USS Abraham Lincoln, I retired from the Navy and returned to my home state of Wisconsin. Once back in the Midwest, I worked in the Marshfield Clinic oral surgery department for 17 years. In 2016, my wife and I decided to move a little closer to family and have been thrilled to be a part of the Area Dental Clinic and Area Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery team.
With my training and experience, I am able to provide treatment in all phases of oral surgery. I offer IV sedation, remove wisdom teeth, place dental implants, perform bone grafting, routine dental extractions, pre-prosthetic surgery, and management of infections and oral pathology.
My wife, Katie, and I have three adult sons, Jarrod, Jordan, and Jason, three daughter-in-laws, and four grandchildren, who are all located in this area. My free time is enjoyed by making memories with them, as well as with extended family and friends, especially enjoying the outdoors. I look forward to meeting you, taking care of your oral surgery needs, and providing you reasons to smile!
