Hi there! My name is Megan Doughty. I am thrilled to join Area Dental and work with other outstanding, like-minded health professionals.
Dentistry, much like primary medical care, allows me to be an influential part of a patient’s journey. From regular check ups to emergency care to rebuilding a smile, I’m driven by the desire for patients to have increased confidence and improved oral health. I will utilize my technical skills to provide excellent care for the community. I also believe in the importance of cultivating a safe and inviting environment to improve the lives of our patients and team.
Originally from Waukesha, I received a bachelor’s degree in Biology at University of Wisconsin-Madison. Go Badgers! To ensure dentistry was the right career path for me, I worked as a dental assistant for 2 years in my hometown. From there, I completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Minnesota. It is important to me to provide the most up-to-date evidence-based care for my patients by utilizing technology that makes treatment more efficient for our patients and providers. I am a member of the Wisconsin Dental Association, American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry and American Dental Education Association. I look forward to a lifelong career of learning and treating patients to the best of my ability.
In my spare time, I spend a lot of time outdoors with my fiancé. We love camping, hiking, biking and kayaking to name a few activities. We have loved exploring National and State Parks together. I also love playing cards and board games with friends and family. Our cat, Kielbasa, always keeps us entertained at home.
